We Are Told That Logic

we are told that logic is limited
since like any other belief system it is enclosed
within the confines of its own creation and cannot comprehend
things that lay outside the bounds
of that self sacred realm

this offers me little comfort
when tortured by the self-righteous
who profess to hold the keys to the kingdom of truth

yet even from the rack i shall sound
unto the stars that the earth is not flat
and that no matter what they proclaim
the universe will forever

revolve around you
